Delete your Parentsy account

You can permanently delete your Parentsy account in the app or start a verified deletion request without the app.

Delete your account in the app

If you can sign in, use the built-in deletion flow. It runs the protected Parentsy deletion process directly.

This is normally the fastest way to delete your account.

For your security, the app asks you to confirm the deletion and may require you to verify your identity again.

No app access needed

Can't access the app?

Email the official Parentsy privacy contact to start an account deletion request. An account email address is enough to start verification, but it is never enough on its own to authorise deletion.

  1. 1If possible, write from the email address connected to your Parentsy account. Otherwise, tell us that you no longer have access to it.
  2. 2Include only the email address needed to locate the account and your request to delete it.

Never send your password, a sign-in link, a verification code, or identity documents unless Parentsy later explains why specific evidence is reasonably necessary.

If an account associated with the information you provide exists, we will send the next steps required to verify ownership and process the deletion request. We do not confirm whether an account exists before ownership is verified.

What happens to your data?

The current server-side deletion process removes the account and clears account-specific data. It does not simply deactivate or freeze the account.

Deleted or removed from active use

  • Your Firebase Authentication account and ability to sign in.
  • Your public profile and identifying personal or profile fields; the private profile is replaced by a limited deletion marker with those fields cleared.
  • User-owned files in the designated storage areas, including profile and post images covered by the deletion process.
  • Memberships, bookmarks, likes, tokens, notifications, preferences, consent records, and other account-specific data covered by the current deletion process.

Conversation content may remain without visible account attribution

Posts, comments, Room contributions, and direct messages may remain where needed to preserve understandable conversations. Visible author and profile attribution is removed or replaced with a deleted-user label, and the deleted account can no longer be used to sign in.

Free text may still contain details you wrote about yourself. You can remove that content before deleting the account or ask Parentsy to review specific content afterwards.

Retention and timing

  • Account deletion is generally implemented in the operational Parentsy system within 30 days.
  • Removal from provider live and backup systems may take up to 180 days after an effective deletion instruction, depending on the Google service.
  • Necessary reporting, moderation, security, support, or legal-case data may be retained for pending cases, legal obligations, or legal claims, and fully anonymised data may be retained.
